Prices & eligibility

Published prices
Preventive care exam $30, vaccine booster exam $15. DA2PP, Bordetella, FVRCP and rabies $20 each. Microchip $20, heartworm test $25, fecal test $25, deworming $10. Spay/neuter: dog spay $150, dog neuter $120, cat spay $100, cat neuter $80, feral cat $75.
Who qualifies
For families who face financial barriers to vet care elsewhere; spay/neuter is for low-income families (income rules don't apply to feral cats). EBT holders get reduced vaccine pricing with proof of EBT and matching ID. Dogs and cats only.
Notes
Preventive care only; the clinic is not treating sick or injured pets. Clinic hours Monday to Friday noon to 4, by appointment only. A $30 or $15 non-refundable deposit is due at booking and goes toward your bill. Cards only, no cash or checks. Spay/neuter questions: (316) 220-8719 or [email protected].

Before you go to a low-cost clinic

  • Book early. Many nonprofit clinics open appointments in batches and fill up fast. Some take walk-ins only until they hit capacity.
  • Expect a deposit. Many clinics charge a small booking deposit that's credited to your bill but lost if you no-show.
  • Check eligibility. Some programs are limited to certain ZIP codes, service areas or household incomes. Others are open to everyone.
  • Bring records. Past vaccine records can save you a repeat shot, and many surgery clinics require proof of rabies vaccination.
  • Ask for an estimate. Get the full price, including bloodwork, medications and add-ons, before treatment starts.

Most low-cost clinics can't handle emergencies. If your pet is having trouble breathing, collapses, has a seizure, is bleeding heavily or may have eaten something toxic, go to the nearest emergency vet now.
